Sustainable reintegration represents an opportunity to support rural environments as spaces of protection and inclusion for returnees. To this extent, lessons and tools assist stakeholders and practitioners in addressing gaps in terms knowledge, policy and mechanisms in place and therefore contributing to achieve sustainable livelihoods and well-being for both returnees and local communities.

During the event, representatives from the FAO and Samuel Hall shared their insights on the methodology adopted, the findings and the case studies. Some of the questions from participants were addressed during a dedicated Q&A session; the responses to the questions that remained unaddressed during the webinar can be found at the Platform's Community of Practice: Reintegration in Rural Areas: Practices and Tools from FAO | Return and Reintegration Platform (iom.int)
