The Study on Return and Reintegration: Women’s Participation and Gender-Responsive Interventions is one of the three Action Research Projects commissioned by UN Women Philippines. The Development Action for Women Network (DAWN) conducted this participatory research in 2012 in the Philippines with an aim to look into the current programs and services of DAWN and assess how gender-responsive they are in ensuring that women migrant workers are empowered to rebuild their lives when they return to their families and communities. It also identifies case studies of reintegration programs to document and analyze good practices, gains, gaps, lessons and emerging challenges for gender-responsive reintegration. The study develops recommendations and suggests possible strategies in designing and implementing gender-responsive return and reintegration programs and projects.
