A webinar session on “Sustainable Reintegration Knowledge Bites Series: Presentation of the series and first findings" was organized by the EU-IOM Knowledge Management Hub (KMH) on Tuesday, 10 November 2020. Click here to access the recording!

The webinar presented the findings of the first Knowledge Bite as part of the Sustainable Reintegration Knowledge Bites Series developed and published by the KMH.

The Sustainable Reintegration Knowledge Bites Series aims to define some of the factors affecting sustainable reintegration outcomes and providing insights as to the reasons behind these and to bring such findings to the attention of reintegration practitioners and policy-makers worldwide, as well as to inform and disseminate good practices, lessons learned and recommendations.

This first findings suggest that returnees benefiting from economic reintegration activities have on average higher sustainable reintegration scores across dimensions, compared to returnees not benefiting from them. Furthermore, the results showcase the relevance of a context-specific approach to sustainable reintegration.

These results are based on the high-level quantitative analysis of data collected in the framework of the EU-IOM Joint Initiative and other EU-IOM Actions in support of migrant protection and sustainable reintegration.

During the online event, more detailed analysis and findings were presented by Ms. Olta Ndoja, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, IOM Headquarters.

The presentation was supported by participants' live feedback and followed by an interactive Q&A session.
